TREATMENT PLANNING

This program is tailor-made for every individual. In the beginning, you will receive a unique Master Treatment Plan which will contain history, assessments, demographics, as well as your concerns, strengths and the clinical course necessary to achieve sustained health and wellness. You will be assigned a clinician who will help you create an individualized treatment plan for which will match your personal needs and goals. The plan will be modified depending on your progress and changes in your treatment experience.

FIVE CORE COMPETENCIES

We start with a foundation in recovery principles; including building unity within a safe and supportive community. This is then balanced with a more scientific approach that is governed by evidence-based practices and delivered through a Systems model of care.

Attachment, self-Regulation and Competency. Life Skills The Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC). ARC’s foundation is built upon four key areas of study: normative childhood development, traumatic stress, attachment, and risk and resilience. The ability to handle everyday stressors without reverting to old patterns or behaviors is the focal point of life skills. You will learn to effectively manage daily challenges with increased emotional regulation and dramatically refined impulse control.

Studies have shown that learning new things and finding direction in life has been proven to repair some of the neurological pathways in the frontal cortex that may have been damaged or arrested due to trauma, substance abuse. Exploring occupational and educational avenues is a vital core competency for success.

Creating a balanced and mediated emotional tone is an important part of the restoration of self. Practicing mindfulness and gaining self-awareness will help you build heathy and lasting relationships with yourself and others. These relationships are the essence of a successful life.

In living a healthy and productive life it is important to incorporate fitness into your daily routine to ensure balance and long-term health. Daily practice of things like yoga, martial arts, swimming, and weight training will pay off in the long run by keeping you healthy and physically fit. Short term benefits of fitness include the release of toxins from your body and the regeneration of your dopamine receptors.

FAQ

An outpatient treatment center provides mental health and addiction treatment but not housing. There are several levels of outpatient care, including:

  • Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs)
  • Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs)
  • Outpatient Treatment Programs (OP)
  • Substance Use Disorder Treatment (SUD)

Each level requires a different time commitment. Generally, outpatient addiction treatment takes place several days a week for a few hours each day. The time frames may be flexible, allowing the recovering individual to continue working or going to school while in treatment.

Some individuals struggle with outpatient care. Living at home keeps them near people or places that support substance abuse, reinforce existing relationship struggles. New Road Center can help with connecting you to a sober/transitional living environment close to the treatment center.

Outpatient programs tend to be most effective as part of a continuum of care that begins with inpatient treatment. An inpatient facility may offer outpatient care as a transition phase.

How Does Treatment Work?

The goal of our treatment center is to help someone overcome addiction. It should heal the mind and body from the effects of addiction as well as teach the individual how to live without substance abuse.

The best treatment center programs begin with a comprehensive assessment that is used to make a personalized treatment plan. Everyone has a different experience with addiction and unique needs in recovery.

Your course of treatment may begin with detox, especially for individuals who have a physical dependence on drugs or alcohol. Detox rids the body of addictive substances but does not treat addiction (which is a mental health issue).

During addiction treatment, a person undergoes various therapies. Therapy helps them work through issues that cause substance abuse and learn a healthier way of life. By replacing drug or alcohol use with positive alternatives, an individual is equipped to resist relapse after treatment.

Success depends on several factors. A person must be willing to fully participate and allow the professionals and the program to change one’s life. New Road Center will ensure through a comprehensive assessment that the very best combination of treatments available are used. Under these circumstances, most people who follow our path are successful in completing New Road Centers programs.

Recovery and healing from mental health issues is a lifelong process that requires one to be mindful of their thoughts and actions. Many people need continued care to maintain health and wellness and sobriety.

For the best chance of success, a person should look for a treatment center with:

  • personalized treatment programs
  • a variety of therapy options
  • treatment approaches that fit ones needs
  • a safe and comfortable environment
  • a continuum of care, including aftercare to build connections

It may seem sensible to choose a treatment center based on cost or location. While these are important factors, they should not be the only things that make the decision.

New Road Center is intended for:
People who don’t have severe addition or mental health needs requiring a hospital or detox
level of care.
People who may want their family and friends around.
People who desire continuing care.
People who cannot commit to inpatient care for whatever reason.
People who are transitioning out of inpatient or detox levels of care.

Your family can expect freedom. One way or another, you will stop your active participation in your loved one’s addiction or cycle of mental health. One way or another the family system will be strengthened and given an opportunity to heal. If you’re loved one does not enter treatment, you will have new tools to end your role in the addiction. An intervention with New Road Center is a structured response to put an end to the pain of addiction and mental health concerns. A “moment of pause” is what you can expect from an intervention. You can expect to be supported and guided every step of the way.

The primary objective is to end the suffering and isolation of the whole family.
It is a mistake to focus entirely on the person in pain.  To focus and label them, as the “problem” is not as inclusive and helpful as when the focus is on everyone who is taking part in the intervention. If we look at addiction as a family issue, we find family solutions. If the focus is on the family there is generally a decrease in anger, defensiveness, resentment, blame, humiliation and shame. In our professional experience, all family members are seen as our client and our focus because all family members need guidance and support. Each family member will experience the intervention differently and have an opportunity to process what has happened and given time to develop a plan for safety, re-connection and a return to health and wellness.
